Help with Home Repairs and Upkeep
Monday, May 01, 2017
Home maintenance and upkeep can be expensive. Twenty-five percent of homeowners said they couldn’t afford a major household repair in a recent HomeServe USA survey.
Thankfully, there’s assistance out there. The Chariton Valley Regional Housing Trust Fund provides grants and loans for projects like repair/replacement of a roof, furnace, water heater and more. Help for general upgrades like new windows and doors is available too. Homeowners in Appanoose, Lucas, Monroe or Wayne counties may qualify for up to $7,500 in assistance.
