Iowa Trust and Savings Bank celebrated their 120th anniversary Friday afternoon by inviting the public to enjoy music and a meal with them.
The Appanoose County Cattleman’s Association cooked up burgers and more as the Harvest Band played music to entertain visitors eating their meals. Visitors could also read about the more than one century of history the bank has had in Centerville, from it’s beginnings with William Bradley and his sons in 1896 to today.
Through all the 120 years of it’s history, the bank has been run by members of one family. Today that person is CEO and President Jeff Young, the fifth generation of the Bradley family’s descendants and great-great-grandson of bank founder Bradley. He joined the bank in 1983, became president in 1992 and took over as Chairman and CEO in 2005.
